I was really hesitant about posting this Before&After, however, I would like to share something personal and why I love what I do. The before picture is a clear reflection of how I often dealt with my mental disorder. Feeling too fatigued and hopeless to keep up with the routine of household tasks, finding the concentration and energy levels needed to do the task can feel difficult or even impossible. Constantly feeling frustrated, angry, and overwhelmed by the clutter and disarray, it’s so much easier to just avoid the problem. The after image is me dealing with my mental disorder and taking control to recreate something that was once so ugly to design a beautiful healthy space where I can fall in love with myself and my home again. Working with clients who experience similar issues and giving them an opportunity for that same feeling is what OCD, LLC reaches for❤️

Welcome! I’m Masha, a passionate advocate for the intersection of mental wellness and design. With a background in criminal justice and criminology, I’ve always been fascinated by the ways our environments shape our thoughts, behaviors, and overall well-being. This curiosity led me to explore how psychological principles can be seamlessly integrated into home design to create spaces that not only look beautiful but also foster mental health and relaxation. In addition to my studies, I run a small business called OCD (Organize Create Design), where I focus on designing spaces that promote mental awareness and well-being. I believe that our surroundings have a profound impact on our mental state, and through my work, I aim to help others create homes that truly support their emotional and psychological needs. This blog is a space where I share insights, tips, and research on how to apply psychological theories to home design. Whether you’re looking to create a stress-free environment, enhance your productivity, or simply make your home a sanctuary, you’ll find practical advice and inspiration here. When I’m not writing or working on design projects, I’m pursuing my master’s degree in criminal justice and criminology at UMKC. My goal is to contribute to policymaking that positively impacts international adoptees and families, drawing from both my personal experiences and academic knowledge. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope you find the content here helpful and inspiring as you work to create a home that nurtures your well-being.
